Fleuriste Collection - White Hydrangea Statement Earrings
Regular price $92.00The Fleuriste (meaning “florist”) collection features ceramic teardrops decorated with hand-painted florals. Paired with an oversized pearl or gold petal stud, each teardrop is framed with a delicate flourish of 22k gold.
The Toile Fleuriste features a whimsical, stylized Chinese rose and vine pattern that is inspired by the climbing Chinese roses of Monet’s gardens in Giverny. The Hydrangea Fleuriste features mini floral studies modeled after our iconic hydrangea pottery.
One of the biggest sources of inspiration for this collection is from my recent travels to Paris and New York City. During my most recent visits to the Met and the Louvre, I have become fascinated with Rococo porcelain from the 18th century; especially intricate snuff boxes by Sevres Manufactory featured at The Met and the exquisitely painted porcelain pendants found in the Louvre’s collection of the French Crown Jewels. I fell in love with the softly layered pastel colors applied with the utmost delicacy, and the elegantly gilded 24k gold framing detail. Seeing the French Royal Jewels include porcelain pendant pieces in the same display as diamond and gem encrusted crowns opened my mind to the push the boundaries between luxe handmade jewelry and fine art. My goal in creating the Fleuriste collection was to explore that invisible line, to move beyond the idea of “craft” and create wearable works of fine art.
Measures approximately: 3 Inches long
Made of high fire ceramic stoneware and glazed with high fire glaze, then a low fire gold luster overglaze in 22K.
We recommend gently hand washing with a microfiber cloth as 22k gold is a soft, precious metal and harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaning products can scratch it over time.
Framed Intaglios & Originals
I recommend a dry environment away from extreme temperatures. Use soft microfiber cloth for dusting and wiping the glass.
Ceramic Picture Frames
Each piece is made of low fire clay and needs to be handled with care. Clean the inside and outside by laying the frame and gently wipe with microfiber cloth.
Ceramic Jewelry Care
Jewelry pieces are made from clay with 22k gold luster accents, read the product listing to learn more about the jewelry chain or earring posts. Due to the nature of being made from clay they are fragile and should be handled with care. In order to ensure the longevity of each piece I recommend avoiding sleeping with, swimming with, or shower with the jewelry.
Fine Jewelry Care
Sterling Silver Widow's Mite
While cleaning this piece be gentle with the 22k gold luster ceramic widow's mite coin that’s encased by sterling silver. Clean the sterling silver by rinsing well in clear hot water and hand-dry immediately and thoroughly. For silver that is tarnished, clean with a good quality silver polish and avoid "dip" polishes.
Diamond Meredith
This necklace is meant to be worn however we recommend taking it off if you are swimming, showering, or playing contact sports.
Clean the necklace by mixing a small amount of mild dish detergent with warm water in a bowl. Put the jewelry into the bowl and let sit for a few minutes, and then use a very soft, dedicated toothbrush to gently scrub the jewelry. Remove the necklace charm from soapy water, rinse it and dry thoroughly with a soft polishing cloth.
