Savor Style X Susan Gordon Pottery - Grazing 101

One of the perks of having a beautiful space to call our own is dreaming up more ways to connect clients to not just our team and process, but to some of our favorite fellow creatives as well. We are so excited to host our very FIRST workshop in the new studio, with our friend Courtney of Savor Style.

As an extension of her grazing board business, Courtney offers hands-on workshops where she walks participants through her tips and tricks to building a beautiful graze. If you’ve ever spent ten minutes staring at the cheese selection of Trader Joe’s with no idea where to start, or simply enjoy a night out with good friends and snacks, then this workshop is for you.

Courtney believes that the beauty of grazing lies in the creativity and ability to have “something for everyone”, along with the natural connection it creates around the table. While she doesn’t stick to any hard and fast rules on building the perfect board, she DOES love to share how and why she chooses certain items, how to best display or serve them, tips on scale, sizing and colors, and sourcing notes on where to shop around town. Grazing boards can also go far beyond your classic charcuterie - think brunch boards, game day, crudites + dips, or all desserts.

If you are familiar with Courtney’s boards, then you know that she loves to incorporate a variety of our pieces into her displays. During the workshop, she’ll share details about her favorite ways to use ring dishes, wavy bowls, cracker trays, cake stands and more (not to mention, you’ll have a chance to shop all of your favorites while you sip some wine and graze)!

Creating a beautiful grazing board can be intimidating (SO. MANY. CHOICES), but we’re here to help you feel like a pro. Join us Thursday, February 13th from 6:30-8pm. Tickets are available on our website, and include a small Acacia wood board (perfect for serving two for a dinner graze or up to four for appetizers), one of our AA wavy bowls, wine, all of the ingredients to create your own graze, as well as a grazing table to snack on throughout the class. We’ll see you there!

XO,

Susan
