Our newest small catchall tray that is practical and chic. This first edition of our classic Valet Tray features a hand-painted “Bearded Iris” flower embellished in 22k gold luster. An instant heirloom: inspired by traditional design and given a modern, feminine flair.
Each Bearded Iris is gesturally painted by hand in our Giverny colorway glazes: Aubergine, Midnight, and French blue. Beloved by Claude Monet and meticulously cultivated in his Giverny gardens about an hour outside Paris, the Bearded Iris is said to have been Monet’s favorite flower. To be honest, I hadn’t really given the iris much thought before I walked through his gardens myself this past summer. Both the Iris flowers and the gardens are true works of art and filled my heart to the brim with inspiration.
Made of high fire ceramic stoneware and glazed with high fire glaze, then a low fire gold luster overglaze in 22K.
We recommend gently hand washing with a microfiber cloth as 22k gold is a soft, precious metal and harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaning products can scratch it over time.
I recommend a dry environment away from extreme temperatures. Use soft microfiber cloth for dusting and wiping the glass.
Each piece is made of low fire clay and needs to be handled with care. Clean the inside and outside by laying the frame and gently wipe with microfiber cloth.
